Policies and Guidelines

Policies and Guidelines: Ensuring the safety and well-being of our members and visitors is our top priority at the AIDS Sports Complex. To maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone, we have implemented the following safety guidelines for using our facilities:

Adhere to Facility Rules and Regulations: Familiarize yourself with and abide by all posted rules and regulations governing the use of our facilities. These rules are in place to ensure the safety of all individuals and the proper functioning of the complex.

Proper Attire and Equipment: Wear appropriate attire and footwear for the activity you are participating in. Avoid loose clothing, jewelry, or accessories that may pose a safety hazard during physical activity. Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and used according to manufacturer guidelines.

Warm-up and Cool Down: Always begin your workout or activity with a proper warm-up to prepare your body for exercise and reduce the risk of injury. Similarly, conclude your session with a cool-down period to gradually lower your heart rate and stretch your muscles to prevent stiffness and soreness.

Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water before, during, and after your workout to stay hydrated and replenish fluids lost through sweat. Bring a water bottle with you and take regular breaks to hydrate, especially during intense or prolonged exercise sessions.

Use Caution Around Equipment and Facilities: Exercise caution when using equipment, especially if you are unfamiliar with its operation. Follow proper technique and safety guidelines to minimize the risk of injury. Be mindful of your surroundings and watch for hazards such as wet floors, uneven surfaces, or obstacles in your path.

Supervise Children: If you are accompanied by children, supervise them at all times to ensure their safety and prevent accidents. Encourage them to follow the rules and guidelines of the complex and provide appropriate supervision based on their age and level of independence.

Emergency Preparedness: Familiarize yourself with the location of emergency exits, first aid stations, and AEDs (automated external defibrillators) within the complex. In the event of an emergency or injury, remain calm, alert staff or emergency personnel, and follow their instructions.

Respect Others: Be considerate of other individuals using the facilities and respect their space, privacy, and right to a safe and enjoyable experience. Refrain from engaging in behavior that may endanger yourself or others, including reckless or aggressive actions.

Report Safety Concerns: If you notice any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or suspicious activity within the complex, report them to staff or management immediately so that appropriate action can be taken to address the issue.

By following these safety guidelines and exercising caution and responsibility while using our facilities, you can help ensure a safe and positive experience for yourself and others at the AIDS Sports Complex. Thank you for your cooperation in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all members and visitors.
